PRODUCT REVIEW: CHARLOTTE TILBURY DAILY GLOW TONER WITH NIACINAMIDE WHAT IS NIACINAMIDE?

Other helpful benefits of niacinamide are that it helps renew and restore the surface of skin against moisture loss and dehydration by helping skin improve its natural production of skin-strengthening ceramides. When ceramides become depleted over time, skin is left vulnerable to all sorts of problems, from persistent patches of dry, flaky skin to increasingly becoming extra-sensitive. I do like to keep it positive, focusing my energy on the good, even great, products that I come across. If I’m spending time to write or record a review of a face cream, Vitamin C serum, mineral sunscreen or, say, a cleansing oil for dry skin, I want to put effort into the products I love – and can subsequently recommend. Create a natural-looking glow with Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner, an acid-free toner that works to refine pores while smoothing and hydrating skin. It gently resurfaces and preps skin for the remainder of a daily skincare routine.

As you may know, not all toners are created for all skin types, and your dry skin needs a formulation that won't over-strip your skin's conditoning natural oils. "If you have dry skin, look for toners with hydrating ingredients like glycerin, hyaluronic acid, lecithin, aloe vera, and rosewater," she adds. Thankfully, these ingredients are not only easy to find but are featured in an array of skin-care products across any and every budget. Toners are usually known for their exfoliating, dullness-reducing properties, but astringent formulations are noticeably being swapped out for some of the best toners for dry skin.

When it comes to the Skincarma Blog and my work on my TikTok, YouTube and Instagram channels, I have long striven to be as objective and honest as I can be about the hundreds of products I try each year. Please remember that results will vary from person to person. We're proud to say that all customer reviews are independent, authentic and do not represent the views of Cult Beauty or The Hut Group. Can it be used daily?

Higher concentrations of niacinamide can help visibly tighten pores by shoring up skin’s supportive elements. But I really wanted to give Charlotte Tilbury a try and the brand’s new Glow Toner with Niacinamide was the ideal product for me. It smells lovely and applies well, hydrating my skin and making it look glowy. I like this toner for boosting my usual skin care stuff and keeping my skin really hydrated throughout the day especially on non-make up days. I really rate all of the Charlotte tilbury skincare I have tried and this lives up to the brand’s high standards.

It just has that air of marketing hype – like Dr. Barbara Sturm’s over-rated skincare. The new Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner has launched and I have been testing it out. This is an acid-free product which works to tone and promote skin renewal. If you have an NDULGE account you can receive 10 Ndulge points per review, for a maximum of 10 reviews per month. Please see here for further information about your reviews and NDULGE points. I’ve given this product 3 stars as personally I just didn’t get it / notice any change.

Caroline Hirons, a skincare expert, has set up an app, Skin Rocks, which enables users to search from hundreds of cleansers, masks, serums and SPFs, sorting by price. You can get recommendations and find the products that are within your budget. Many skincare brands have embraced sustainability by offering refills.

For example, you pay £26 for the £173 worth of products in Latest in Beauty’s box. You can also make your own box by picking out your own six products. Try searching the Dupeshop platform if you are looking for a cheaper version of one of your favourites. It compares similar products to see if the budget versions are worth buying.

And I thought why not a blog article and social reviews on three treatment toners in particular – a great one, a good one and, well, a pretty awful one. I decided to refer to them as “bad, better and best.” It seemed catchy. I’ve been thinking, though, that I’ve spent a lot of time, money and effort lately evaluating treatment toners that brighten a dull complexion. Many of them are really well-formulated; some are good, some are great, and a handful really are just awful, for various reasons.

Similarly, you may choose to skip a dedicated eye cream, and gently apply your face serum around the delicate eye area. Regrettably, there are only five ingredients at a potential concentration higher than one percent. Because I know how to read a skincare ingredient list, or INCI. The common preservative is allowed at a maximum concentration of one percent. And since ingredients are listed in order of their level in the formula, you can be assured that everything that appears after Phenoxyethanol is lower than one percent.

If you struggle with dry skin, topical application of niacinamide has been shown to boost the hydrating ability of moisturizers so skin’s surface can better resist the moisture loss that leads to recurrent dry, tight, flaky skin. Niacinamide works brilliantly with common moisturizer ingredients like glycerin, non-fragrant plant oils, cholesterol, sodium PCA, and sodium hyaluronate. As you might have gathered, we’re very impressed with all that niacinamide can do for skin when applied via skin care products like toners, serums, and highly concentrated leave-on treatments. Niacinamide is uniquely compatible with any of the products in your skin care routine, including those that contain retinol, peptides, hyaluronic acid, AHAs, BHA, vitamin C, and all types of antioxidants.

There’s a Prickly Pear Extract (Exfolactive) that boosts natural exfoliation and also a Peptide that boosts cell turnover. This isn’t a full review as such, as I have only tried this out for a few days, but I have looked into the ingredients, and what the product aims to do and am giving you my thoughts based on that and how I have found it on my skin. I have also taken questions from Instagram and answered them, so I think you will find this useful. I purchased this to change up from my normal Elemis toner, firstly the scent of this is beautiful and it feels really lovely to actually use the product.I’ve noticed a notable difference in my skin tone and glow in my skin after using. Skincare and beauty lovers share video content of their favourite products and earn “coins” that can be put towards beauty items. You can also buy Agora “Edit” boxes with discounts of up to 85% on beauty items inside.

It seems that niacinamide has a normalizing ability on the pore lining, and that this influence plays a role in keeping debris from getting backed up, which leads to clogs and rough, bumpy skin. As the clog forms and worsens, the pores stretch to compensate, and what you’ll see is enlarged pores. By helping things get back to normal, niacinamide use helps pores return to their normal size. Sun damage can cause pores to become stretched, too, leading to what some describe as "orange peel skin".

The Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner has a soft milky texture that I really like. It is not a clear solution like many traditional toners and I love that it has Niacinamide in, which my skin really likes and I find great on enlarged pores. Apply morning and evening to clean, dry skin using a cleansing pad or press on using your hands and follow with the rest of your skin care.

If anything, it adds a light layer of hydration while balancing the skin. It does feel really nice and refreshing and it’s great that it doesn’t have acid because I think it’s so easy to over-use acid by accident. It doesn’t give you that super boost of moisture that an essence does, but then it is supposed to be a toner and not an essence. This is slightly tricky because, as it is acid free, it has been formulated to be more gentle than a classic exfoliating toner, and in this respect, should be good if you are sensitive.
